The Artistry of
Theresa Honeycheck

I have always been excited about the idea of sharing beauty in my paintings through expressive narratives.

My palettes are carefully chosen choices. Every brush stroke shows an emotion that has been deeply stored within the back fields of my mind from my childhood and adult experiences. Every painting has its own story. Make it yours!

I am a visual artist and I work in a light filled studio in my home located in Houston, Texas.

The one thing people should know about my art - whether it is a particular piece or my overall practice, is that a specific thread runs through it. That thread is that my work is happy and light and intentionally painted for audiences of all kinds.  For all my art work, I want the shapes and forms to have a foreceful presence. I want my thoughtfully chosen palette to be a reflection of energetic colors on my canvas.

"She was beautiful, but not like those girls in the magazines. She was beautiful for the way she thought. She was beautiful for the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved. She was beautiful for her ability to make other people smile, even if she was sad. No, she wasn't beautiful for something as temporary as her looks. She was beautiful, deep down to her soul." (poem by F. Scott Fitzgerald)
